Trial Objective
- Weed control in soybean continues to be a challenge as difficult-to-control and herbicide-resistant weed populations continue to develop.
- The objective of this study was to compare the yields of Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybean products to competitor LibertyLink® soybean products.
Research Site Details
- Herbicide programs specific to each location were used to create trials with minimal weed pressure. All plots at each location received the same herbicide treatments.
- Trials were small plots with three replications at each site.
- Each treatment was two rows (30-inch rows) wide and 15 feet long.
Understanding the Results
- For the mid and late maturity groups, strong performance of the Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybean products was observed when compared to the LibertyLink® soybean products.

- Based on this trial the Roundup Ready® Xtend Crop System was shown to provide improved yield potential and weed management.
